If you want to hear soul-lifting songs, but don't ask for the performer to do any acting, go to the opera. If you want to see heart-gripping characters, but don't care for music, go to a straight play. However, if you are one of the rare audience members that demands both from from the show and its performers, go to L'Auguste Théâtre and see Songs for a New World. Among all of the comédie musicale shows I have attended over the years in Paris, this is a rare gem that I simply must recommend to all of you. I promise, you cannot be disappointed.
