Théâtre dramatique: Pénélope Théâtre le vieux sage

This adaption of the story of Ulysses sets the action in a small village in France after the second World war.Ulysses is a young lawyer, once much beloved by the village, who returns after being missing for several years to his wife Penelope. The young writers express a maturity beyond their year in this play with its well written characters and consideration of universal themes related to war, politics, relationships, identity, French society and how much we really know about those who surround us. I was gripped throughout by the moving moments and an incredible standard of acting. There was even a bit of dance! Highly recommended
