Imagine you have four chances to live this life, with the same urges but different surroundings, with the same body but different clothes. What makes the difference between these lives? You? Them? A Russian woman from Dostoevsky's culture invests herself in performing his heroines for the French community. "As much as we are different, we are all the same too," and I find this most vividly represented in the captured characters of the Russian novelist through her performance. Each of these characters, from the melancholic sadness of Nastasya to the seductive anger of Grushenka, is relived by the actor, whom we see through one eye—herself. I cannot recommend it more. If you have ever thought of reimagining your life in different scenarios, I cannot recommend it more if you love Dostoevsky and his pleasure in telling you a story in which everyone is forgiven!
